Welcome to New Roc Dental! Your first visit is a great chance for us to get to know each other. When you first arrive at our office, you will be greeted by our friendly receptionist. Our team always wears personal protective equipment and sanitizes the office after each visit, so you can feel safe as you wait for your appointment to begin. You may even hear some of Dr. Wynter’s favorite reggae music playing in the background. Our office is designed with your comfort in mind!
What Should I Bring to My First Visit?
To ensure we have all of the information we need, we ask that all patients bring their ID and insurance cards with them to their appointment. We also require a few new patient forms. You can fill these out at home or in our office once you arrive.
These forms will ask about your medical history, oral health, allergies, medications, etc. This information helps us understand your health and make accurate diagnoses. It also helps us be aware of certain dental issues you may be at risk of developing. You can rest assured that we will keep your information confidential. We always follow all HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
What Will My First Visit Include?
During your first visit, we will conduct a consultation and exam. During your consultation, Dr. Wynter will review your medical information and speak to you about your health goals and concerns. Afterward, she will examine your teeth, gums, and face.
She will check for signs of cavities, gum infection, muscle tension, swollen lymph nodes, etc. We will also conduct an oral cancer screening. If needed, Dr. Wynter may use an intraoral camera to examine your throat and other hard-to-see parts of your mouth. She may also take digital X-rays to check the health of your teeth, joints, and jaw bone.
After your exam, Dr. Wynter will explain her findings and recommend any necessary treatments. We will also provide you with a personal health kit to take home with you.
Will This Visit Be Covered by My Insurance?
At New Roc Dental, we are committed to helping you get the dental care you need, without having to worry about your finances. To do this, we will help you file your insurance claims to ensure you get the most out of your policy. If you do not have dental insurance, we have a variety of other financing options available.
